Acute drug problem

Drugs (narcotic and psychotropic substances)

Drugs are one of the scourges of all mankind. However, in Russia this problem is especially acute. After all, our country is third in the world in terms of the number of drug addicts, second only to Afghanistan and Iran. According to various sources, eighty to three hundred people die from overdoses in Russia every day.

Drugs (definition)

It's hard to believe that in our country we only recently heard about narcotic and psychotropic substances. Few people know, but the majority of young people learned about them when soldiers who had served in Afghanistan, where the population has been "indulging" in various drugs for many centuries, from the so-called "light" to "heavy", began to arrive.
If you are interested in the definition of drugs, then by opening an encyclopedia you can find out that this is the name for any substance that deprives a person of the ability to feel pain, causing a coma. However, today the definition of this term has become much broader. This is the name for any substance that is used by drug addicts, capable of bringing a "high". And few people, when they first pick up a syringe, powder or pill, think about how high a price they will have to pay for minutes of dubious pleasure. Every person, be it a child, a teenager or an adult, should remember once and for all. DRUGS ARE DEATH! One or two injections will be enough to seal a person's fate.

The effects of drugs

Drugs (narcotic and psychotropic substances)

The effects of drugs are varied. However, in general, they all give an unnatural and, as a rule, short-lived feeling of lightness, flight, fun and friendliness. All problems recede for a while, any trouble seems unimportant and easily solved. Of course, when the drug wears off, all the problems return. Only psychological dependence is added to them - you want to forget about these problems again. The question of solving these problems is no longer considered. After all, you can just forget about them. And for this you need drugs. And they are not cheap. As a result, a person is ready to do ANYTHING, just to get money for a dose. Do you need to attack a child and beat him up to take away a mobile phone, which can be exchanged for a dose? No problem! Become a prostitute to pay for relief with your body? Easy! Kill your mother, who stands between you and your best friend - a drug dealer? Believe me, it will not be the slightest effort. Experiencing a lack of drugs and terrible withdrawal, you simply will not think about whether you are doing the right thing, whether you would have forgiven yourself for what you want to do just a few days ago. There is only one thought - to get drugs at ANY cost. And I don't care how high it will be.

Narcotic and psychotropic substances used in Russia

Narcotics (narcotic and psychotropic substances)

Today in our country there are dozens of types of drugs - from the most well-known to the practically exotic or simply very rare. It is even surprising that only thirty years ago only a few percent of Russian people knew about drugs. Today, narcotic and psychotropic substances, or rather references to them, have become commonplace for many people. These include heroin, cocaine, morphine, coaxil, sp, methamphetamine, necotine, LSD, opium, ecstasy, marijuana and many, many others. In general, alcohol can be safely included here, but in our country it is not considered a drug, although the GOST of 1972 defined ethyl alcohol as "a colorless liquid related to potent drugs that cause excitement and then paralysis of the nervous system." Today's government believes that alcohol does not harm the human body at all, so the definition has been reduced to "a colorless liquid with a characteristic odor." What does this mean? Why did such changes occur? Who knows... (Read about the consequences of alcohol consumption with photos)

Drugs and the law

Drugs (narcotic and psychotropic substances)

Of course, in our country most drugs (as in almost any other country) are considered illegal, and therefore their sale is prosecuted by law. Although here too the criminal code is surprisingly lenient. For example, in China, Israel and many other countries any person found with more than one dose of drugs can be charged with drug trafficking. In Russia, however, a charge of drug trafficking can only be brought if a person is found with eight or more doses during a search.
In many countries, drug trafficking is punishable by death. Quite reasonable, especially considering that almost all drug dealers, after serving their time and being released, soon return to prison under a similar article. But how many more lives will he have time to ruin before he is caught again?
So, the annual drug turnover in our country is 2.5 billion dollars. And this is only the official statistics. What is this figure really? One can only guess in horror.
Students from African countries, as well as people from the republics of Central Asia and the Caucasus, make a significant contribution to the prosperity of drugs in Russia. It is through Chechnya and Dagestan that the largest drug shipments from Afghanistan go. Of course, it is people from these republics who are engaged in retail sales.

Signs of drug use

A little observation is enough to notice that a person is in a state of "high". Signs of drug use are harder to ignore than to notice. First of all, this is atypical behavior for a person - causeless laughter or fear, excessively animated gesticulation. That is, the behavior is exactly the same as that of a very drunk person, but the smell of alcohol is not felt. Of course, if you know people whose behavior changes in this way, you should seriously think about whether they are taking drugs. In some cases, you should try to help them. In most cases, - break off ALL contact with them. You will most likely not be able to save him. But to get serious problems, up to and including an attack from him when he needs money - quite possible. Someone will say that this is cruel. However, there are no former drug addicts, and any specialist will tell you this. You should not believe people who claim that 5 to 20 percent are cured. This is all nonsense. It is not difficult to heal the body (remove narcotic and psychotropic substances, relieve withdrawal symptoms and physical dependence) and this can be done in a week. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of psychological dependence. And even if the addict assures that he has quit, he will forever remain in the risk group. And most relapse. Those who remain are forced to control their every step their entire lives and hold on, hold on, hold on. Therefore, you should think about whether the harm of drugs is justified by the minutes of pleasure they bring.

Drugs and health

Of course, these two concepts are mutually exclusive. A drug addict cannot be a healthy person. First of all, after one to three doses, he becomes psychologically dependent. That is, his spirit is affected. And this is forever. If he continues to take drugs and psychotropic substances, this affects the entire body - the liver, kidneys, heart, reproductive system and, of course, the brain. The entire body is destroyed - in some places faster, in others a little slower. But a drug addict will NEVER be able to become a full-fledged person. And it would be better if all his acquaintances broke off all contact with him in order to ensure the safety of themselves and their families. Therefore, if you are wondering whether to try or refuse the first free dose, think - do the minutes of pleasure outweigh the harm of drugs? Are these minutes worth your whole life? THINK AND REFUSE!!!
